East Idaho News Reports On Bannock County Developments’ Work For The New Flight School

The Pocatello Regional Airport is set to host a new flight school, and the community is already taking a keen interest in its announcement. Pureflight is expanding its operations from Oregon to include a third location in Pocatello. This addition will allow students from the local area and beyond to receive training as commercial and private pilots.

Bannock County Development Corporation played a significant role in facilitating this expansion. Our CEO, MiaCate Kennedy I, expressed enthusiasm, stating, “It’s really good for our airport, it’s good for our economy and it’s really good for those that are interested in getting into flight.”

Pureflight’s new facility aims to train pilots for both airplanes and helicopters and has already attracted interest from potential students and instructors. The initiative underscores the economic potential of the airport and illustrates that Bannock Country has excellent infrastructure for companies hoping to expand their operations into Idaho. Beyond job creation, the flight school is anticipated to enhance the region’s economic development and recognition.
