RELEASED BY: John Regetz, President & CEO of Bannock Development Corporation
Inergy Solar is moving into a building dedicated to growing production of it’s next generation of battery-powered electrical supply systems. The incubation building is located at 850 5th St., Pocatello and will house assembly and design functions for the growing company.
Inergy Solar designs and manufactures battery powered electrical supply and backup systems for mobile, recreational and home applications. Solar panel powered generators are integrated in the systems design and can supply electricity, or standard electrical or auto outlets can be used. Inergy’s power systems are typically less than half the weight of competitors giving it a substantial market advantage.
Inergy was founded in 2012 and has been and entrepreneurial force ever since. The company won 1st Place at Google’s Startup Grind Pitch Event and Consumer Product & Early-Stage Innovation of the Year at the Idaho Innovation Awards.
“Our innovations are revolutionizing the industry and will provide access to electric power in locations where it has never been,” said Inergy President Brad Barrott.
Inergy is also the recipient of an Idaho GEM grant to conduct research & development with the University of Idaho. They have also conducted research and development with the Idaho National Laboratory.
The Pocatello Development Authority assisted the expansion by providing $25,000 of building improvements to help Inergy grow its new product line. Scott Smith Quote
The project will create at least 10 new positions in addition to the 18 employees Inergy already has in Chubbuck.
“I am glad that we can help a technology company develop its market for innovative new products. This is the kind of growth we are looking for, “said Mayor Brian Blad.
Inergy already manufactures power systems overseas that outperform the competition and their new designs should launch the company into industry sales leadership. “Our integration of computer technology and the best components available will create even higher performing power systems at less than half the weight,” said Sean Luangrath, Inergy CEO. With investors and community support the entrepreneurs plan to become a billion dollar industry.
